Alyson Toone
Embroidery created for International Women's Day. The red fabric references the official color of International Women's Day. The white color is inspired by the Sufferagette Movement of the early 20th century.
The circle represents life cycles which is connected to women being life givers. The square represents stability which women are responsible for creating for our families. A circle within a square represents heaven, which I believe women are all a bit heavenly.
I also use the female symbol and pink triangles in threes which is a number of completion.
