Allbirds, a sustainable shoe company, required that my embroidery piece be focused on an idea of Los Angeles nature. I wanted to focus on the mountains which have meant so much to me since I relocated here.
The framed work is posed next to Allbirds shoes. Not the final position of my work.
The final piece sits on the Sunset Orange chair in the Venice (Los Angeles) location.
The main color needed to match their location color which is Sunset Orange. Using various shades of this hue, I used an optical mixing technique to create movement.
