After creating a sketch using gridded paper. I retraced the sketch using Adobe Illustrator and added the font to the layout.
I used satin stitch and chainstitch to create a textured piece.
This project was inspired by my relationship began with my partner. I used an analogous color scheme to match our decor. The radiating lines were inspired by 1970s illustration and the art deco painting, "I Saw the Figure Five in Gold" by Charles Demuth.
